LONNETTA ALBRIGHT, CPEC
Lonnetta Albright, Author, Radio Personality and Change Agent is one of the most dynamic and transformative speakers, facilitators and coaches working nationally and internationally (Africa, the Caribbean, and South America) adding value to and changing the lives of thousands. She is particularly focused on developing those she fondly calls the Next Generation. As President and Owner of Forward Movement Inc. a minority and female-owned company she offers Executive and Life Coaching for individuals and organizations; Personal and Professional growth; Organizational and Leadership development; Speaking, Consulting and Facilitation. As a certified personal and executive coach, she is an Independent Executive Director with the John Maxwell Team. Hilary Brown, PhD
Hilary Brown, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, in the Department of Health & Society and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. She is also cross-appointed to the Temerty Faculty of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Brown holds a Canada Research Chair in Disability and Reproductive Health. Her research program, funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the National Institutes of Health, examines maternal and child health and mental health across the life course, with a focus on populations with disabilities. Sandy Hardie
Sandy is the Founder and Executive Director of Mahala’s Hope, Sandy is a certified Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor, Independent Clinical Supervisor and completing her Certified Trauma Specialist certification. She has worked in the substance abuse field for over 30 years specializing in women and trauma for 20 of those years. Sandy completed a two year apprenticeship in Tucson, AZ to learn equine experiential and has been facilitating equine programs since 2001. She is an advanced instructor of Eponaquest Worldwide of Tucson, AZ. While working with a sexual assault agency for 10 years she was an advocate to incarcerated women through PREA. Sandy facilitates training state wide on Trauma Informed Care and Vicarious Trauma to law enforcement, health care systems, first responders, substance use providers and other collaborative agencies. Sandy served on the Trauma Informed Care Advisory Committee of Wisconsin. Currently she serves on the State Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council and is active on the Diversity Committee as well as Secretary’s Advisory Council on Child Welfare. Locally she serves on the Opioid Task Force, NAS Project in Fond du Lac County as well as several other committees. Ms. Hardie has worked as clinician and held various management positions throughout her career. Most importantly she is in long term recovery herself. As a student of the horse, she continues to learn from her daily interactions with her herd. |
TERI KOOK, MSW
Ms. Kook has served as a Senior Program Associate for Children and Family Futures for the past two years. She is a Change Liaison with the In Depth Technical Assistance Program Team with current engagements in North Carolina, Michigan, Oklahoma and South Carolina. She also provides consultation on collaborative community practice to grantees of the Quality Improvement Center- Reunification at the University of Maryland. Ms. Kook has over 30 years of experience in child welfare program planning, development, implementation, strategic grant making and provision of technical assistance. Prior to joining Children and Family Futures, Ms. Kook served as the Vice President, Family Resiliency Strategies at the Empire Health Foundation (EHF) where she oversaw grant making and community partnerships to prevent Adverse Childhood Events and mitigate the effect of trauma on young people so that they may reach their full potential. While at EHF she also served as the Executive Director of the Family Impact Network, the first Network Administrator for performance-based contracting in child welfare in Washington. Prior to EHF, Teri was the Director of Child Welfare at the Stuart Foundation where she oversaw all aspects of child welfare grant making and program development in California and Washington states. Previously, Teri served for 17 years in various frontline, supervisory and management positions in public child welfare in Stanislaus County. Teri holds a B.A. in Sociology from CSU, Stanislaus and received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from San Jose State University

KYLE MOUNTS, MD, MScPH
Kyle Mounts is the Associate Director for the Wisconsin Association for Perinatal Care (WAPC). In that capacity, he provides support to a full range of programs dedicated to improving the health of women and infants. His professional interests include neonatal care and maternal mental health, including substance use disorders. Mishka Terplan, MD MPH FACOG DFASAM
Mishka Terplan is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and in addiction medicine. His primary clinical, research and advocacy interests lie along the intersection of reproductive and behavioral health. He attended medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, Residency at the University of Southern California, and completed a research fellowship at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He is currently Adjunct Faculty, Clinical Consultation Center, University of California, San Francisco, Consultant, National Center on Substance Abuse and Child Welfare. He is the Addiction Medicine Consultant for DMAS (Department of Medicaid Services, VA) and a consultant for the National Center on Substance Abuse and Child Welfare. Dr. Terplan has active grant funding and has published over 80 peer-reviewed articles with emphasis on health disparities, stigma, and women's access to treatment. He has spoken before the United States Congress and has participated in expert panels at CDC, SAMHSA, ONDCP, OWH, FDA and NIH primarily on issues related to gender and addiction. |
GEORGIANA WILTON, PHD
Dr. Wilton has been a consultant since her retirement in 2017 as a Senior Scientist in the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. Her career of over 30 years has focused on the prevention, identification, and treatment of fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD). Her clinical research included randomized trials on screening and brief intervention to reduce the risk of an alcohol-exposed pregnancy. Georgiana has extensive experience developing and conducting brief alcohol interventions with women at risk and providing training to clinicians on brief intervention techniques. She has developed and conducted numerous educational programs locally and nationally including certificate programs in FASD targeted towards clinicians, women’s treatment providers and other social services professionals.
