CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT (CE)
Attendance Requirements
The mission of Wisconsin Connect is to provide learning opportunities so that Wisconsin residents have quality, holistic treatment services. It is important to attend an entire training to become familiar with all the material. Attendees need to attend for the full allotted time of any training and complete all communicated mandatory tasks to receive continuing education credit.
The amount of credit awarded reflects the length of time a training takes and/or the amount of time getting through mandatory materials is estimated to take. That being said, the number of credits offered will be different for each training. In order to earn all offered credits for a training, dedicated participation is required. Without full attendance or completion, credits will not be awarded.
Registration Requirements
You must register for an event to receive CE credit. Even if you attended the entire training in full, you would not receive credit if you did not register. Credit is only awarded to individuals registered prior to the start of the event.
Tracking attendance for every individual is key in awarding CE credit.
**CE credits will not be awarded for any archived materials on our website. (Though we do still encourage you to engage with them!)
Calculating Credits
Each training will list if it offers continuing education credit and which type. The list below provides where the credit comes from and how its calculated.
Certificate of Completion
Document of completion for CE credit will be issued 4-6 weeks following a training. If 6 weeks have passed and you have not received a certificate of completion by email, send an inquiry to [email protected].
It is the individual's responsibility to report CEHs earned to their appropriate credential or licensing board.

- In person: Be sure to complete the check-in in order to have attendance recorded. The method for tracking attendance may vary with each training, but it will be clearly communicated by the Wisconsin CONNECT staff on site.
- Online: When attending a fully virtual training, it is important to log on to the event with the same information used to register (e.g. name and email) so we can track time and verify attendance in the online platform. Without this basic information, we cannot confirm participation.
- Self-paced: All tasks listed for the individual self-paced portions or trainings must be completed. The surveys associated with each respectful training will serve as benchmarks, so they must be filled out and submitted in order to be awarded credit.

Calculating Credits
Each training will list if it offers continuing education credit and which type. The list below provides where the credit comes from and how its calculated.
- For continuing education hours (CEH):
- University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Helen Bader School of Social Welfare is approved as a provider of continuing education hours.
- Each hour of content is equal to 1 CEH.
- For continuing education units (CEU):
- University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Continuing Education is the provider of continuing education units.
- Each hour of content is equal to 0.1 CEU.
- The calculation for continuing education units is ten hours of study in one program is equal to 1.0 CEUs. So for example 1.5 CEUs are 15 hours.
- For continuing medical education (CME):
- The Wisconsin Association for Perinatal Care (WAPC) is accredited by the Wisconsin Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
- Each hour of content is equal to 1 CME
