Connecting the Dots

Welcome to the Connecting the Dots Podcast!

This podcast is here to help you develop and discuss new best practices in the substance use prevention and treatment field. Think of it as an hour to enrich yourself, connect with your peers, and maybe take some time away from clients while still being productive. You are welcome to speak up or soak it in.

Connecting the Dots is the overarching umbrella for all of our trainings- there's a topic of interest for everyone! These topics are not demographic-specific.

Lonnetta Albright, Author, Radio Personality, Change Agent, and Facilitator is one of the most dynamic and transformative speakers, facilitators and coaches working nationally and internationally (Africa, the Caribbean, and South America) adding value to and changing the lives of thousands. She is particularly focused on developing those she fondly calls the Next Generation. As President/Owner of Forward Movement Inc. a minority and female-owned company she offers Executive and Life Coaching for individuals and organizations; Personal and Professional growth; Organizational and Leadership development; Speaking, Consulting and Facilitation. A certified personal and executive coach, she is an Executive Director with the John Maxwell Team. She also has a weekly Coaching segment on the Lonnie Hunter Show, Reach Gospel Radio airing each week. Lonnetta is a 2018 Hall of Fame Inductee, Museum of African American Addictions, Treatment and Recovery.
For 17 years Lonnetta served as Executive Director of the Great Lakes Addiction Technology Transfer Center /University of Illinois /Jane Addams College of Social Work. Her regional ATTC led the ATTC Network in Recovery Management and Recovery-Oriented System (ROSC) Transformation efforts for the field and in Africa to train and build capacity for the substance abuse systems and recovery community in Tanzania and Zanzibar, Africa. She is currently a faculty member with the Center for Urban Population Health, University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and their WISCONSIN CONNECT project; Co-creator and trainer with Kentucky’s Intentional Beginnings Inc. training behavioral health providers and peers; Peer Support Coalition of Florida’s Leadership Academy. Other clients include University of Illinois at Chicago/College of Business; the Florida Department of Children and Families-Office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health; Southeast ATTC at Morehouse School of Medicine/National Center for Primary Care; South Southwest ATTC/University of Texas at Austin; Kentucky’s Seven Counties Services, Inc; NY Association of Psychiatric and Rehabilitation Services; and the C4 Innovations, a federally funded project that works with organizations, states and systems helping to build capacity, new leaders and change agents that guide transformation efforts.
Her interest in positive psychology, human behavior, strength-based approaches, behavioral and public health; and the science that supports them all has not only increased her own understanding but means her clients and audiences experience meaningful and real changes that shift their mindsets and behavior in ways that can be applied immediately. Her expertise lies not only in connecting with clients and audiences; but also, her ability to take complex ideas and concepts, breaking them down into practical and thought-provoking blocks and presenting that very same information in an exciting, learnable, and inspirational way. Kyle was a host of the 2024 season.

Kyle Mounts is the Associate Director for the Wisconsin Association for Perinatal Care (WAPC). In that capacity, he provides support to a full range of programs dedicated to improving the health of women and infants. His professional interests include neonatal care and maternal mental health, including substance use disorders. He has a background in neonatology and an MPH with a concentration in health promotion.
