Becoming Trauma Informed

Becoming Trauma Informed

Become a trauma informed organization. This online, two-day training will be provided to nine selected women's treatment facilities. Registration is limited.

The following strategies will be used:
  1. Design and facilitate the kick-off for this 18-month process. This event provides an introduction to trauma and an overview of the project to the administrative teams of the agencies. It is important for agency directors to attend this event in order to demonstrate support for the Becoming Trauma Informed project.
  2. Assist each agency in creating a guide team to facilitate culture change via a self-assessment and implementation plan.
  3. Provide consultation on the process of becoming trauma-informed and trauma-responsive.

Timeline:    Kick-off dates currently being held are November 30, 2021 and December 2, 2021 from 9 am – noon Central Time each day (three hours per day, total of six hours across two days).

There is no cost to participants for this training.
