Meet the Team
Lynn McLaughlin
Lynn McLaughlin is a communications professional with 25 years of experience in both the private and non-profit sectors. Lynn’s life experience, education, training in peer support systems and trauma (including her personal release of a belief system resulting from sexual abuse, domestic violence, depression and addiction) make her an exceptional peer support provider and trainer. She received her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication from Marian University. She is a Trainer of: State of Wisconsin Peer Specialist Training; Recovery Coach Academy, Ethical Considerations, and Professional Recovery Coaching through Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR); Emotional CPR (eCPR) through the National Empowerment Center; Person-Centered Planning for Peers through Wisconsin Department of Health Services; and Introduction to ACES/Trauma-Informed Care. Lynn lives in Neenah in with her two dogs—Lennon and Bogey. Her daughter attends college at University of Minnesota—Minneapolis. |
Rebecca Wigg-Ninham, MSW, SAC
Rebecca is a Social Worker and has worked in the field of Substance Use and Mental Health for over 30 years. She is an ACE Interface Master Trainer, Trauma Informed Care and Resiliency Expert. She is committed to work force development and addressing secondary trauma. Rebecca is a pioneer in Implementation Science in Wisconsin and has led Learning Collaboratives and coached in best practices. Karen Iverson Riggers
Karen Iverson Riggers is a writer, survivor, advocate, entrepreneur, and community volunteer. She owns her own nonprofit consulting practice. She was most recently the founding director of Iris Place, the first peer run respite in the state of Wisconsin as well as the co-founder of local food start up Reinvent Ferment. Her almost 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector includes working with LEAVEN, Wisconsin Milkweed Alliance, Rise Together, NASMHPD, Apricity, African Heritage Inc, NAMI Fox Valley, United Way Fox Cities, three Girl Scout Councils, Harbor House Domestic Abuse Shelter, Women’s Fund for the Fox Valley Region, Fox Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Showing Up for Racial Justice Appleton Chapter, and Housing Partnership of the Fox Cities. In 2013, she was awarded NAMI Wisconsin’s Peer of the Year and was recently recognized by the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce as a “Future 15” young professional. She lives in Appleton, where she grew up, with her husband, and their three children. |
Scott Webb, MSE
Scott Webb is a trauma survivor himself who has worked in the behavioral health field for 33 years. His career has included clinical, administrative and consultative work. He is currently the Trauma-Informed Care Coordinator at the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services. He holds a Master of Science in Education degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Since 2014, Scott has provided training and technical assistance on trauma-informed care principles to more than 11,000 clinicians statewide. His insights on trauma-informed care have been featured in articles published by Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism and Isthmus. He also has presented at numerous conferences and acted as keynote speaker for the UW-Madison School of Social Work, the National Alliance on Mental Illness Wisconsin Conference, and the Wisconsin Personal Services Association. |
