What-- Harm Reduction Conference
Why-- To highlight emerging trends in harm reduction, share implementation strategies and resources, and provide a space for Wisconsinites to gather and network. Continuing education credits are available for attendees.
Who-- All people with an interest in building harm reduction resources within their community. This could include:
Where-- Green Bay, WI (This event is hybrid, so there will be a virtual attendance option.)
Why-- To highlight emerging trends in harm reduction, share implementation strategies and resources, and provide a space for Wisconsinites to gather and network. Continuing education credits are available for attendees.
Who-- All people with an interest in building harm reduction resources within their community. This could include:
- First responders (law enforcement, emergency medical service providers, fire department, and mobile response teams)
- Health care professionals ( substance use disorder counselors, community health care workers, mental health professionals, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physicians, and administration)
- AIDS, HIV, and viral hepatitis care workers
- Local government and Tribal elected officials (county judge executives, mayors, presidents, tribal council members)
- Local and tribal health and human services department staff (directors, nurses, harm reduction staff, health educators, peer support specialists)
- Syringe service programs and providers
- Public health and health care students and fellows
- Overdose fatality review members
- Educators
