Type: Virtual and In-person Description: This is a practical training designed to help beginner, intermediate, and advanced counselors, social workers, administrators, and other clinical staff develop patient-centered service plans and make objective decisions about patient admission, continuing care, and transfer/discharge for individuals with addictive, substance-related, and co-occurring conditions. Type: Virtual Description: This ECHO series is based on information found in The ASAM Criteria: Treatment Criteria for Addictive, Substance-Related, and Co-Occurring Conditions, Third Edition and incorporates an opportunity for participants to learn and apply the information through a short didactic presentation and case-based activities. Type: Podcast, Virtual Description: Connecting the Dots is the overarching umbrella for all of our trainings- there's a topic of interest for everyone! Take an hour to yourself to reinvest in your career. Type: Virtual and In-person Description: Contingency Management (CM) is a therapy approach that aims to help a person decrease drug-related behaviors through positive motivation. Our trainers described current legislation and how you can implement this approach. Type: Virtual Description: This diagnostic skills-building training is targeted to those providers in a position to diagnose FASDs (physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants) and those who are part of a multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary team providing care for individuals at risk for FASDs (including children and youth, individuals in substance use disorder treatment, and individuals in the social service system with undiagnosed challenges). Type: Certificate Program, Virtual Description: This Training of Trainers helps decrease the knowledge gap by providing training on FASD along with the tools and resources needed for participants to provide quality training to diverse audiences. These tools and resources include an adaptable PowerPoint presentation, peer-reviewed journal articles to support your training, fact sheets, and other handouts to provide to your participants. Type: Virtual Description: This training offered a comprehensive treatment model that integrates theories of addiction, women’s psychological development, and trauma. Designed to give counselors, clinicians, and others a basic understanding of the current knowledge related to addiction, the training focuses primarily on women’s recovery. Type: Virtual and In-person Description: The presentation reviews the clinical challenges presented by individuals who use stimulants and current protocols for addressing acute medical/psychiatric conditions. Type: Virtual Description: Phillip Graham used his community-based research to focus on and address the impact of substance use on youth in their communities. Type: Virtual and In-person Description: There are emerging evidence based practices practices, and we have partners that can help you with technical assistance to implement them. Type: Virtual Description: Trauma informed to Trauma Responsiveness – Organizations translating, adapting & optimizing change: From the janitor to the CEO. Type: Grantees Description: The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) funded community partnerships to divert youth from justice referrals. The funding was allocated under the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant. The purpose of the program was to develop diversion alternatives in communities from the youth justice system. |
Type: Virtual Description: Become a trauma informed organization. This online, two-day training was provided to women's treatment facilities. Type: Virtual Description: This virtual training delves into the six principles of the Prevention Code of Ethics by providing participants with practical examples that are intended to enhance their capacity to handle difficult situations in their professional lives. Type: On Demand Description: This FASD self-paced learning series helps decrease the knowledge gap by providing on-demand educational opportunities to learn more about the prevention, identification, and treatment of FASD. Type: Virtual Description: This training provided resources for providers serving clients at risk of FASD. Type: Virtual and In-person Description: The Matrix Model is an easy-to-use manualized treatment protocol that gives patients the skills and understanding they need to overcome addiction. It has been refined over the past 30 years to integrate cognitive behavioral therapy, contingency management, motivational interviewing, 12 Steps facilitation, family involvement, and other elements to successfully treat individuals struggling with substance use. Type: Virtual Description: MI has a well-defined structure and strategy to support direct service staff to have empowering conversation about change with those they serve Type: Certificate Program, Virtual Description: This program provided evidence-based information on substance use and pregnancy and provides the framework to understand the short- and long-term effects of a variety of drugs on mother and child. Type: Virtual Description: The ECHO was conducted monthly for one hour and includes a brief educational presentation on a topic of interest, a case presentation by a collaborator, and a discussion on strategies that can help the provider offer the best possible care for the client/patient. Type: Virtual Description: This training explains the importance of planning and implementing screening for fetal alcohol spectrum disorders in the youth justice system. |
