Meet the Team
GEORGIANA WILTON, PHD
Dr. Wilton has been a consultant since her retirement in 2017 as a Senior Scientist in the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. Her career of over 30 years has focused on the prevention, identification, and treatment of fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD). Her clinical research included randomized trials on screening and brief intervention to reduce the risk of an alcohol-exposed pregnancy.
Georgiana has extensive experience developing and conducting brief alcohol interventions with women at risk and providing training to clinicians on brief intervention techniques. She has developed and conducted numerous educational programs locally and nationally including certificate programs in FASD targeted towards clinicians, women’s treatment providers and other social services professionals.
