Ethics in Prevention

 Ethics Training for Prevention Staff

​Description and Learning Objectives:
This virtual training delves into the six principles of the Prevention Code of Ethics by providing participants with practical examples that are intended to enhance their capacity to handle difficult situations in their professional lives.

​Upon completion of this training, participants will possess the following:
  • Defining ethics and associated terms
  • Described the six principles of the Prevention Code of Ethics
  • Utilized an ethical decision-making process to implement the Prevention Code of Ethics.

​This training is pertinent to individuals who are pursuing certification or recertification as a Prevention Specialist and satisfies the fundamental standards for prevention ethics for this certification. This training does not satisfy the prerequisites for individuals who are seeking certification or licensure in the field of treatment or recovery support.
